In January-June 2021 the external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 6 209.7 million, 20.7 percent higher to the same period of 2020. The exports equaled USD 1 884.7 million (25.2 percent higher), while the imports stood at USD 4 325.0 million (18.9 percent higher). The negative trade balance was USD 2 440.3 million in January-June 2021 and its share in external trade turnover constituted 39.3 percent.
