External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 5 019.4 million in January-May 2021, 18.2 percent higher year-on-year. The value of export increased by 24.4 percent reaching USD 1 538.1 million, while the import increased by 15.7 percent and amounted to USD 3 481.3 million.

The trade deficit equaled USD 1 943.2 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 38.7 percent.
