In January-April 2021 the external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 3 928.7 million, 12.8 percent higher to the same period of 2020. The exports equaled USD 1 198.7 million (19.6 percent higher), while the imports stood at USD 2 730.0 million (10.1 percent higher). The negative trade balance was USD 1 531.3 million in January-April 2021 and its share in external trade turnover constituted 39.0 percent.
